Go to the Github data download page, click ‘view raw’, then right hand click and select ‘save as’, and save in the format ‘comma-separated values’. You can then upload this .csv file to Excel or Google Sheets as a spreadsheet. You can apply a filter to select the countries and columns that you need. Our main dataset includes USA state-level responses to COVID-19. A dedicated repository is also available with additional data.
Can I get COVID-19 again after having the vaccine?
Getting COVID-19 after you’ve been vaccinated or recovered is still possible. But having some immunity — whether from infection or vaccination — really drops the odds of this happening to you.
Age demographics will continue to be an important risk driver. The dynamics of seasonality may cause differences between the northern and southern hemispheres. And government policy still matters—in particular, the few remaining countries with zero-COVID-19 strategies may also experience the coming months differently as they choose whether to continue or relax their border policies.

Larger droplets may fall to the ground in a few seconds, but tiny infectious particles can linger in the air and accumulate in indoor places, especially where many people are gathered and there is poor ventilation. This is why mask-wearing, hand hygiene and physical distancing are essential to preventing COVID-19. The Nevada System of Higher Education was considering hiring Northshore to test unvaccinated employees and to provide testing on Southern Nevada college campuses. Rich worried the state employee health plan would be deluged with claims for surveillance tests that it hadn’t budgeted for and was under no obligation to pay. But when she tried to alert decision-makers, Northshore again asked Willden to intervene. The United States and countries around the world face a major public health concern with the current outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
How effective is Paxlovid?
The data showed that participants (all of whom were unvaccinated) who were given Paxlovid were 89% less likely to develop severe illness and death compared to trial participants who received a placebo.
The city’s health commissioner, Dr. Ashwin Vasan, issued an order on Monday strongly recommending that all residents wear medical-grade masks in offices, grocery stores, schools and other public indoor settings citywide. A day later, he announced that the city had hit the high alert level, which was triggered by rising hospital admissions. While many American cities long ago jettisoned public health precautions, New York City and other Democrat-led cities like Los Angeles and Philadelphia had taken a more cautious approach to combating waves of the virus. Now, even as cases and hospitalizations rise again, those cities may resemble the rest of the nation by focusing on a return to normalcy and personal responsibility. While Covid stole lives from all strata of society, it magnified disparities, and some groups have been more vulnerable than others to infection, based on factors like sex, age, health care access, income and housing.
You can view interactive data visualisations of country data or heat map over time. The most recent versions of charts and maps are all available on Github. Our main dataset contains data on the different responses of the four UK nations to COVID-19. Restrictions are being eased for those who are vaccinated, and some areas are using “vaccine passports” as a way to open up to vaccinated travelers. Anyone should wear a face mask if they’re sick and around other people or animals, even at home. Caregivers should use them when cleaning and disinfecting a sick person’s bedroom or bathroom. If you need to call 911, put on a mask before medical help arrives. Because you can have and spread the virus without knowing it, you should stay home as much as possible. If you do have to go out, stay at least 6 feet away from others.
The Pfizer, Moderna and J&J vaccines, currently the only vaccines to receive an Emergency Use Authorization to be distributed in the United States. The J&J vaccine has shown to have an efficacy of around 66% in preventing moderate to severe COVID-19 disease and 86% efficacy at reducing severe illness and hospitalizations. Moderna and J&J have not concluded their analysis on the efficacy of their vaccines against the Delta variant.
While many companies continue to use work-from-home practices, that is not possible for a lot of workers. Some people work in “essential businesses” that are vital to daily life, such as health care, law enforcement, and public utilities. Everyone else should continue to limit your time in public as much as you can and wear a cloth face mask when you can’t.
